We wanted to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude for the opportunity to participate in one of the biggest startup events in Europe, Viva Tech @ Paris. A special thank you goes out to our Financial Secretary, Secretary for Innovation, Technology, and Industry, Hong Kong Trade Development Council, Cyberport, and our fellow home-grown startups. Your support made this incredible experience possible.

For our team at Regtitude, Viva Tech was more than just an event—it was a vibrant exchange of ideas and experiences. Meeting and interacting with startups from around the globe was truly inspiring. We cherished the chance to share our startup journey from Hong Kong, a unique place for startups, and learn from the diverse, innovative minds we encountered.

During the event, we had the privilege of connecting with industry leaders, potential partners, and fellow innovators. Here are some of the key takeaways:

- The future of web3 in the financial market

- Collaborative opportunities between Hong Kong and international startups

- Insights into the latest tech trends and innovations

The responses we received were overwhelming, and we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who visited and engaged with us. The enthusiasm and interest in our Web3 platform, OpenFinBlock (OFB), were truly gratifying. Given the immense interest, we decided to recap some of the highlights and provide further information for those who want to learn more.

We showcased how OFB is revolutionizing the Web3 ecosystem in the financial market. The feedback was incredibly positive, and we're excited about the potential collaborations and partnerships that could stem from these interactions.

Hong Kong is not just our home base, but a strategic choice for launching and growing Regtitude. Here is why we believe Hong Kong is the most friendly place for startups in the world

- Unique Position for APAEC Markets: Hong Kong serves as a vital gateway to the APAEC markets, acting as a window to China and offering unparalleled access to these regions.

- Funds and Support: The city provides extensive funding opportunities and support for startups, especially through initiatives by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), Cyberport Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP), and the Innovation & Technology Fund. These programs ensure that innovative ideas can thrive:

- Taxation & Company Formation: Hong Kong's favorable taxation policies and streamlined company formation processes make it easier for startups to establish and grow their businesses.

- Infrastructure Hong Kong boasts a world-class infrastructure that supports the rapid development and scaling of startups in the following ways:

  • Telecommunications and Connectivity: Hong Kong ranks first in Asia for international internet bandwidth, offering reliable and affordable communication services for seamless local and global connectivity.

  • Innovation and Technology: Initiatives like the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks (HKSTP) and Cyberport provide extensive support to tech startups through R&D facilities, funding, incubation programs, and networking opportunities, helping turn innovative ideas into market-ready solutions.

  • Global Connectivity and Logistics: Hong Kong's international airport, one of the busiest in the world, connects to over 190 destinations. Hong Kong's deep-water ports enhance sea freight logistics, making it a crucial hub for global trade. The new eSPP (e-Smart Port Platform) further optimizes logistics and efficiency by integrating advanced technology into port operations.

  • Access to the Greater Bay Area: Enhanced connectivity with the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area opens vast business opportunities through new railways, road connections, and the development of the Northern Metropolis, facilitating access to a broader market and talent pool.

- Talents: Understanding that not all startups can hire all the resources they need, Hong Kong offers a vibrant local startup ecosystem. Our sharing at Viva Tech emphasized joining this ecosystem, one good example is our Web3 platform OpenFinBlock (OFB) is here to assist startups in connecting to both B2B and B2C markets to bootstrap their solutions.

- Safety: Hong Kong is known for its safety, providing a secure environment for business operations.

- Property Prices and Rental Costs: Commercial and residential property prices and rentals have decreased by more than 25% due to the global recession, making it more affordable for startups to set up their base.

- Food and Quality Living: The multicultural environment, coupled with high-quality living standards and diverse culinary options, makes Hong Kong an attractive place to live and work.

As we return to Hong Kong, we're more inspired than ever to continue pushing the boundaries of innovation. Stay tuned for more updates from Regtitude, and feel free to reach out if you want to collaborate or learn more about our journey.

We're deeply grateful for the support and encouragement from Cyberport, the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, and all the amazing people we met at Viva Tech.
